Dear Madam/Sir,

Expokos is a special opportunity, complemented with the additional conference focused on western Balkan enterprises, will guarantee further attention and the presence of numerous visitors.

Given the latest events taking place in our region recently, we recommend you reserve your booth and interact with these positive developments occurring in the Western Balkan market.

A Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) was signed during October 2015, between the European Union and Kosovo in Strasbourg. “This agreement is opening a new phase in the EU-Kosovo relationship. It represents an important contribution towards stability and prosperity in Kosovo and the region at large. “This agreement is a milestone for the EU-Kosovo relationship. It will help Kosovo make much needed reforms and will create trade and investment opportunities. It will place Kosovo on a sustainable path of economical growth.

At the same time Serbia and Kosovo voiced satisfaction on August 26th, 2015, with an EU-brokered deal that marked a major step towards stabilizing the fragile Kosovar-Serbian relations, and boosted hopes for faster access to the European Union. The agreement was considered a great success for both parties, because it will open doors for big investment and development projects that will follow,  financed by the EU and the three other members of the Western Balkans, i.e.: Albania, Kosovo and Serbia.

  • The mining industry in Kosovo will get revamped after this agreement, after being blocked for the last 25 years.
  • There are big ongoing infrastructure projects like the highway from Durres-Prishtina and Nish in Serbia together with the railway, financed by three governments and the EU.
  • The new Highway that connects Prishtina and Skopje is to be finished by 2016.
  • More than 40% of the fast highway that connects Prishtina and the north part of Kosovo is already finished.
  • Many energy projects in thermal and wind power in Kosovo and Hydro in Albania will now be seriously considered to begin.
  • The biggest and highest tower in the Balkans has already started to be built in Prishtina.

The above mentioned infrastructure plans will contribute to Kosovo becoming the main gate to the Western Balkan market.
Thus, it is now your time to start/continue to enjoy the business growth in the region and in the whole Mediterranean.
