The Indian Silk Industry is very dynamic as it is the only country in the world which produces all commercial varieties of silk namely Tassar, Muga, Eri and Mulberry. Silk produced in India has its own uniqueness in terms of better strength, ability to absorb dyes, ruggedness, brightness and luster, fall, feel, drape etc. The Indian Silk is unique not only because it has distinguished and distinct characters when compared to silk from other countries but also due to the fact that the processes and technologies used are different and varied from cluster to cluster. The variety and diversity in these clusters is because of the weaving styles, patterns of designs, accessories and equipment used, technology employed skill levels preference for designs and motives, colour combination etc.

Embassy, therefore, seek your kind support in disseminating the above information about the fair to the interested buyers and suggesting them to get registered for sponsorship on the website of the Council www.indiainternationalsilkfair.com
